Kaia Miller, CCDT-DT
I've loved dogs and animals for as long as I can remember! Growing up I had three dogs, three cats, and a lizard. We were a very animal focused family! Our three pups were always my
favorite though, they still hold a special place in my heart. My love for dogs has only grown!
I moved from Arizona to Pennsylvania when I was seventeen, and jumped right into a job with dogs. I became a full time Behavioral Manager and trainer throughout my 4 years in the professional dog nearly four years professionally with dogs. A Behavior Manager is the "go to person" for trainers to get extra help with dogs who have more than average problems to solve. Things like aggression, severe anxieties and fear are things I love to work with since the changes are so profound for the humans, and especially the dogs!
My passion is in always growing and learning new skills and techniques that will help dogs be better adjusted in the human world they live in. I can help you learn to speak dog, so you understand your dog's body language along with teaching your dog to follow "human words" too.
I’m happy to bring my set of skills to the Cold Creek team since so many of the dogs we help need a little bit more to be well adjusted in their human world.
Outside of training your pups, I also spend a lot of time with my own dog Gracie. She is an almost five year old Chocolate Lab, who still gives me a run for my money. Throughout our years together we have worked through lots of confidence building and reactivity to people in our home. Our relationship has grown so much in the past three years, and a lot of that is due to dog sports. Which we both love and has helped to build her confidence tremendously making her a well rounded dog..
We compete in both Dock Diving and Disc competitions throughout the year. Gracie has earned her Dock Junior Advanced title, and competed at a Regional Dock Diving competition in Connecticut. This will be our second year of Disc Competitions, and we are looking forward to the upcoming season!
We have learned to work together to achieve our goals in a team relationship understanding each other. It has created a much more balanced relationship in ALL parts of our life.
That is my goal when it comes to training your pups; a healthier balanced relationship with your dog that allows you to live easily with your pup with no worries.
There are so many ways you can train a dog, and we can explore all of them together to find the BEST way for YOUR DOG (and you too! :)
Every dog's journey is different- and as your trainer I'm happy to be part of that with you!
