​ Learn a high level of reliable obedience (with distractions!) through motivational training by using treats and toys. But, the most important thing you'll learn is how to use behavioral (natural) training with your dog.  Things like having your dog relax on his own without commands or paying attention to you without bribing him. We use methods or tools that YOU the owner are comfortable with. 
Together we look at what is best for each individual dog. 


​ PRIVATE TRAINING
Do you want to be involved with every step of the process? We teach you along the way with your dog in your home-and out and around in your community... One-on-One lessons take place on your schedule when you have time, normally about every two weeks. You and your dog learn consistent obedience training and most importantly behavioral training.  This is how your dog listens and behaves ALL the time when he's not on an obedience command. For instance, how to "yield" and not push to go out the door without commands.... Or... how to self settle (self sooth) when anxious.

 BOARD and TRAIN
Are you super busy.... and just want it "done for you"? ...We train your dog THEN we train you! And, you get LIFETIME Training Support too. Your dog lives in your trainer's home as part of the family during training- not in a kennel environment. You'll get daily updates by video and pictures and learn along the way with your dog. 

 Both training choices can lead to the same results!  It's really just how you choose to get there, what fits best for your lifestyle AND your dog.

My dog Josie and I just finished the Challenging Dog Program with Carolyn Sanagursky from Cold Creek Dog Training, and I'm so grateful. Carolyn was so kind and would answer every question I asked in person or emailed her. About a month after adopting her, Josie started to scream and lunge when she saw other dogs, even from a long distance, dragging me towards them on our walks. On the occasion she was close enough, she even got into a couple of fights. I can now walk Josie alongside other dogs, and she will even play/run around with certain family members' dogs. We still have some work to do, but I would never have considered taking her into a pet store before. So far, I have confidently taken her into Petco with several other dogs present, and during our last lesson, we went into Bass Pro Shop. Though she was nervous about the new environment, she stayed neutral when standing/walking side by side with another dog Carolyn had brought. I'm so excited to not be afraid to walk past other dogs and for Josie to finally have some dog friends!

We cannot say enough good things about Julie and our training experience with Cold Creek Dog Training. We had already invested a significant amount into dog training with another local group which was not a great fit for our dog and left him reactive to other dogs. We were so hesitant because of our previous experience but Julie was so accommodating towards our concerns. She took extra time before we even committed to answer all of our questions about the program and make sure we were comfortable.

Immediately after our first session we noticed a difference in our pup's behavior. We've implemented their practices on a daily basis and watched him transform into a more calm and attentive dog. Julie is extremely professional, patient, and calm with our dog. She clearly explains and demonstrates all of the practices and commands so that you and your dog can understand. At one of our lessons, she even brought her own well-trained dog to meet ours so he could work on his reactivity. She is the one person who our dog will immediately listen to no matter what. "What Would Julie Do" is a common phrase in our household. We are so grateful for her and everything she's done for our doggo. We cannot thank Cold Creek enough!

Our German Shepherd was continuing to bite after teething and had a lot of issues with following directions, slight aggression and misbehavior. Shane was able to work miracles with him after the 2 week board program. Our dog came back a brand new dog but still had his full personality. The difference from the drop off was night and day. He is incredibly respectful and follows every command given. We can take him in public without any worries and his recall is top notch. Shane was amazing through the entire process giving us ample updates and statuses on the progression. We could tell our dog had a great time even while training and away from home. Shane treated him like family and it showed. Would highly recommend.

 This young German Shorthaired Pointer has a lot of energy! She was such a puller on the leash as you can imagine when you see her bouncy personality.  Here's a little clip that shows how we teach and connect and how she responds after just five days of training.
